Ick

And I don't mean the fish disease. Did you know there is a fish disease called ick? Apparently goldfish get it. I recently read an article that some bigger fish are getting it now too. Maybe salmon?

I digress. The point here is to note that DC is officially gross. And I am gross when I am in DC. The reason for this unpleasantness? Humidity plain and simple. The temperature is tolerable, but the air is like pea soup (not the tasty kind) and there is not a hint of a breeze anywhere. I walked outside for 20 minutes and looked like one of those fat people at disney: sweaty, smelly, uncomfortable, and in search of anything air conditioned. Ugh. Don't they have some sort of solution for this sweating thing yet? I know sweating is the body's way of cooling itself, blah, blah, blah. But if there is no breeze, no cooling takes place. And then you're just wet. Yuck.
